Randy grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana and attended Lake Charles High School and McNeese State University. After graduating from McNeese in 1974 with a B.S. degree in Mathematics, he accepted a position with Gulf States Utilities (GSU) in Beaumont, Texas as the first college graduate in their Information and Data Systems Department.
After the acquisition of GSU by Entergy, Randy moved to New Orleans with Entergy in 1995. In 1997, after working for two different Fortune 500 companies in various management positions, Randy accepted a position with a small start-up company in Baton Rouge TPS Holdings. Under Randy’s guidance, the influence of technology grew at TPS (now named EdgenMurray) from a single server supporting 30 users in Baton Rouge and St. Louis, Missouri to a multi-million dollar system supporting more than 300 users in over 20 locations around the world. In 2007, Randy retired as CIO of EdgenMurray to move back to Lake Charles.
Randy began his career in financial services in 2009 by taking the Life and Health, Series 66, and Series 7 licensing exams. Randy is licensed in both Louisiana and Texas and can provide a full range of services to his clients.
Since moving back to Lake Charles, Randy has become a part of several local organizations. Randy volunteers his time at the Oak Park Food Pantry working with others to provide resources to disadvantaged people in the Lake Charles area. In addition, Randy is a member of the Profit and Loss Club, a non-profit organization that sponsors the local National Day of Prayer. Randy is President of the local Sideliners chapter, an organization comprised of retirees who formerly worked with Gulf States Utilities and/or Entergy.
