Joel E. Burris

President, Managing Partner

As President and Managing Partner of the firm, Joel E. Burris has played an integral role in the growth and continued success of GCG Wealth Management, Inc. While attending college he graduated with his BA in History, Joel began his career at First Union Brokerage Services in Charlotte. At just 20 years of age, he demonstrated a command of the financial services industry and obtained his FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations. In 2003, while working in the Capital Markets division for Bank of America, Joel accepted an offer to join GCG Wealth Management, Inc. as a Registered Representative, and Investment Advisor Representative. During his first full year with GCG Wealth Management, Joel set a record for highest performance for a 1st year associate at the firm, later qualifying for Million Dollar Roundtable in his second year. 

In 2010, Joel joined the Executive Management team at GCG Wealth Management, and in 2015, he became President and Managing Partner of GCG Wealth Management, Inc. Joel has guided GCG from 200 million in assets to over 1.5 billion. Today, Joel is a lifetime qualifying member of one of the Million Dollar Roundtable. Joel is currently registered with Osaic Wealth, Inc.

In addition to assisting individuals and business owners with their wealth management needs, Joel focuses on guiding GCG Wealth Management’s expansion as a financial services firm in the southeast. Along with the whole of GCG Wealth Management, Joel is a proud supporter of the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte and the locally-based Jazz Arts Initiative. He is also a huge fan of the Carolina Panthers! #keeppounding

He currently holds FINRA registrations 7, 65, 24 & 63 as well as his NC Life, Long Term Care and Health Licenses.
